Very Recently, there has been a great deal of inquiries by the
FTC against bloggers and website developers
for not publishing their advertising revenue, or potential
connections with ad networks.

What are your ideas about how this could potentially hurt
the blog community?

<strong>strategic change management...</strong>

Great post. My approach to strategic change management says the quality of the first five percent determines what happens in the rest of the process. This same principle applies to many situations....

Just as radio evolved in response to the
onslaught of television, newspapers must
re-invent themselves to meet this challenge,
not by poor imitation of online business
models, or ineffective emulation of online
features in print, but by using the advantages
of their newspaper’s parallel print and online
presence to dramatically increase the
advertising sales response of print, offering
advertisers a synergy they cannot buy in online
advertising alone.

Cheers!

Your point about performance management is actually the most important of all. Any reasonably informed person can absorb the theory of the 'new' ideas about convergence, and can see it being put into practice from a consumer viewpoint. The actual business of retraining, reorientating and managing this kind of change is the real challenge. Maybe you should devote more time to examining this. My own perception is that what it really entails is a severe disruption of the work-life balance and longer hours in the office in front of a computer screen.
